I don't think that it's fair for the workers to ask for another raise when they know our city is in deep debt in the pensions. I think they are being greedy. I am not working, we can still manage the bills. If they need more money, they should tell their spouses or girlfriends to get a job. - Janice, Camp Pendleton
I just thought it was interesting that the San Diego reader had an article just this week about the how the SD city counsel voted themselves $50,000 raises to take effect over the next two years, then I saw the story on the news tonight about no raises for city workers. How can the city counsel accept such huge raises when the workers get nothing? - John
