San Diego Open Casting Call for new FOX show
If you love to sing in the shower, or at work, or in the car, or anywhere at all, then this is your chance to be a JUKEBOX HERO on a Prime Time Network.
We are looking for fun and interesting contestants who know the lyrics to the biggest hits. This is NOT a talent contest, however you must be willing to sing your heart out!
"DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS!"
Everyone thinks they know the words to the
song’s playing on their radio or their MP3 player…But, do they? Don’t Forget The Lyrics! gives contestants the chance to win one million
dollars by singing the correct missing lyrics to 10 of the biggest hit songs
ever recorded. These are songs everyone
knows and loves. The question is, how well will they remember the words when
the stakes are high and the pressure is on?
DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS! is a new series that melds the very best
elements of two of the most successful shows on television, American Idol &
Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, to create the most exciting & addictive prime-time game show on the
planet. However, Don’t Forget The Lyrics! is not a
talent show. This game show is all about the words to the world’s most -popular
songs. So whether you sing like a bird
or howl like a hound dog, this
is pure entertainment for the entire family.
The contestant selects their songs from several
categories including different genres, decades, and musical artists. If they correctly sing nine songs, they are
presented one final missing lyric from a #1 hit, The Million Dollar Song. It’s that simple, 10 songs…10 missing
lyrics…One Million Dollars. Don’t
Forget The Lyrics! has the perfect mix of nostalgia and cool factor.
Like Karaoke on steroids, our contestants take
center stage to sing along as the lyrics are projected and our studio band
provides the music. Suddenly, the music
stops and the words disappear. Will our
contestant belt out the correct missing lyric or will they freeze under the
pressure of the bright lights and studio audience? With each correct lyric, our contestant must decide to “stay
& play” or “take the money & run.”
As our contestant climbs the money chart, the songs become more popular
but the missing lyrics become more difficult.
When a contestant is unsure of missing lyrics,
they can use any one of three helplines to aid them. In Which Line Works?, the contestant is given three possible
missing lyrics. One is correct and two are incorrect. In Friends & Family, the contestant can ask their in-studio
guests for help in completing the missing lyric. In Scratch The Record, their originally selected song is thrown
out and a new song is provided from the same category.
So sit back, turn up the volume, and get ready to sing along to the
biggest hit songs of all time! But, if you want to be successful in this game,
there is one thing you have to remember... DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS!
